The following instruments and/or products are deposits eligible for deposit insurance from the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, subject always to maximum coverage limitations as outlined in their brochure "Protecting Your Deposits" and provided they are payable in Canada.

The following items are also eligible for deposit insurance but are not available to depositors to use as accounts in the normal course of their banks: outstanding payment items including suspense accounts, (G.I.C. Suspense, RRSP GIC Suspense, ATM Clearing), items in transit, certified cheques, drafts, official cheques, unclaimed cheques, and mortgage tax accounts.
Eligible deposits made under any of the following trade names are aggregately protected up to the coverage limitations as outlined in the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation’s “Protecting Your Deposits" brochure.
